Cats actually take a few parasites, a few fleas plus some diseases and some can turn serious however, not many. If cats were creating too much sickness they would not have invaded our lives as well as they may have. But you may still find people out there who do not like pet cats. When I first went to China about twenty years ago there have been very few felines living with people and incredibly few wild pet cats. I was astonished because I've acquired cats all my entire life and I never thought people didn't like cats. But in China individuals said cats taken disease and that was it. I think that might have something regarding that cat suffering you get in your eye. Not serious just a small problem for weekly Of course, if you were pregnant you had to stay away from cats. I think they were discussing toxoplasmosis, but if you get that when you are a youngster it should not affect your child. They also said felines were filthy but I don't believe so. I think felines are one of the cleanest dogs and cats you could have. I feel that originated from the cats getting rid of the rats and mice. Because rats are extremely dirty animals then because the pet cats killed and ate them they will also be filthy. A soiled by connection type of thing. Also there have been some big sewer rats operating round during the day. Once I observed a rat and a feline face off the other person and the kitty wasn't much bigger than the rat. These were about a ft . apart staring one another out and the cat ran away. I'm not surprised the rat's pearly whites were bigger that the cats.

Then your nine lives of the humble kitten who only wanted to help mankind by killing rodents that transported disease took a serious change for the more serious during the middle ages. Where witch hunts and burning at the stake were typical. Somebody who didn't like felines somehow connected those to witches and they were burnt at the stake with there owners. The way they made that connection I'll never know. It began with Pope Gregory IX in the 1232 who regarded the common house kitten as diabolical. Then to make matters worse in1484 along came the greatest kitten killer of all time, Pope Innocent VIII, who decreed something such as all cats originated from hell and really should returned to the fires of hell by hearth. Pet cats were mercilessly prosecuted and were burnt so they might go back to the fires of hell. It is amazing any survived because if you were trapped with a pet cat you were burnt alongside one another. I still go to church and sometimes I just wonder why. And undoubtedly the Black Death was in the background surviving and thriving because there have been no pet cats to wipe out the rats that taken the fleas that triggered the disease. Then along came the cat's savior King Louis XIII of France, who in the 1630s repealed regulations and cats once more started to live. However they were still hated and killed for many decades from then on. I don't know if the African american Fatality subsided but felines once again protected mankind against the diseases transported by rodents. Plus the famines brought on by mice plagues.
I think one of the reasons there were few cats around is basically because they used to eat them. And every now and then the restaurant kitten catches would grab an cat they may find and take them back again to the restaurant. I recall seeing cats in glass exhibits out leading of the restaurants. But somewhere within then and now they prohibited eating cats. So cats are now not on the menu and today there are cats everywhere. Many of them started off in someone's house and received thrown away, since several are very friendly. Also they have got this thing about abdominal worms. And in those times China had not been as modern as now so stomach worms would have been a problem. Fleas aren't a really problem because they have got tile floors and wooden furniture.
