Ask any visitor that involves visit to handle the puppy all over; coming in contact with the paws and feeling in between the toes; using the ears; giving restrained hugs; using the mouth and beginning the mouth inserting your finger on the puppy's tongue. If possible expose your puppy to children and train them how to handle the doggie properly. Constantly be sure when children and puppy dogs are playing along that they are supervised. You don't want the children that can be played too roughly with the doggie and you do not want the pup getting so hyped up by antics of children and becomes out of control.
A lot of puppy socialization may appear in the home environment - contact with loud banging sounds, such as clanging pots and pans, vacuum cleaners, washers, yard mowers, etc.
Bringing home a fresh puppy is a bundle of fun. Puppy socialization is the most crucial thing you need to give attention to before your pup reaches the age of 12 weeks. This puppy socialization period is known as the 'window of opportunity' since it is the period of time when puppies learn best how to cope with the anonymous. Therefore, the more people, puppies, objects, noises and surroundings the doggie can come in contact with during this period, the better. Puppy socialization to these new activities helps the dog to be far more confident as an older dog when put through unfamiliar events.
