Ask any visitor that comes to visit to handle the puppy around; touching the paws and feeling in between the toes; playing with the ears; giving restrained hugs; playing with the mouth and starting the mouth placing your finger on the puppy's tongue. If possible expose your puppy to children and train them how to handle the puppy properly. Constantly be sure when children and pups are playing collectively that they are supervised. You do not want the kids to try out too about with the puppy dog and you do not want the pup getting so hyped up by antics of children and becomes out of control.
Bringing home a fresh puppy is a bundle of fun. Puppy socialization is the most important thing you will need to focus on before your pup reaches the age of 12 weeks. This puppy socialization period is recognized as the 'windowpane of opportunity' because it is the time period when pet dogs learn best how to handle the unknown. Therefore, the more people, puppies, objects, sounds and surroundings the puppy can be exposed to during this time period, the better. Puppy socialization to these new encounters helps the doggy to be far more confident as an older dog when put through unfamiliar events.
