Cats actually bring a few parasites, a few fleas plus some diseases and some can turn serious however, not many. If cats were leading to too much sickness they might not have invaded our lives as well as they have got. But there are still people out there who do not like pet cats. When I first went to China about 20 years ago there were very few felines living with people and very few wild felines. I was amazed because I've possessed cats all my entire life and I never thought people didn't like pet cats. But then in China people said cats transported disease and this was it. I think that may have something regarding that cat sick and tired you enter your eyes. Not serious simply a slight problem for weekly And when you were pregnant you'd to keep away from cats. I think they were referring to toxoplasmosis, but if you get that when you are a youngster it will not affect your baby. In addition they said felines were dusty but I don't think so. I think pet cats are one of the cleanest domestic pets you can have. I feel that came from the cats getting rid of the rats and mice. Because rats are extremely dirty pets or animals then because the pet cats wiped out and ate them they'll also be dusty. A filthy by connection type of thing. Also there have been some big sewer rats running round during the day. Once I saw a rat and a cat face off each other and the kitten wasn't much bigger than the rat. These were about a foot apart staring the other person out and the cat ran away. I'm not amazed the rat's tooth were bigger that the felines.
Then your nine lives of the humble kitty who only wanted to help mankind by eradicating rodents that taken disease took a serious convert for the more serious during the middle ages. Where witch hunts and losing at the stake were typical. Someone who didn't like pet cats somehow connected them to witches and they were burnt at the stake with there owners. How they made that interconnection I'll never know. It started off with Pope Gregory IX in the 1232 who deemed the normal house kitten as diabolical. Then to make issues even worse in1484 along came up the greatest kitten killer ever, Pope Innocent VIII, who decreed something along the lines of all cats came from hell and should returned to the fires of hell by fire. Pet cats were mercilessly prosecuted and were burnt so they would go back to the fires of hell. It really is amazing any survived because if you were captured with a pet cat you were burnt along. I still go to cathedral and sometimes I simply wonder why. And of course the Black Death was in the background surviving and thriving because there have been no cats to destroy the rats that transported the fleas that brought on the condition. Then along came up the cat's savior Ruler Louis XIII of France, who in the 1630s repealed regulations and cats once again began to live. However they were still hated and killed for many decades from then on. I don't know if the Black color Death subsided but felines once again shielded mankind contrary to the diseases transported by rodents. And the famines brought on by mice plagues.
