Cats actually carry a few parasites, a few fleas plus some diseases and a few can turn serious however, not many. If cats were leading to too much sickness they might not need invaded our lives as well as they have. But you may still find people out there who do not like felines. When I first went to China about twenty years ago there have been very few cats living with people and incredibly few wild pet cats. I was amazed because I've had cats all my entire life and I never thought people didn't like pet cats. But then in China the people said cats carried disease which was it. I feel that may have something to do with that cat suffering you enter your eyesight. Not serious simply a minor problem for a week In case you were pregnant you had to stay away from cats. I believe they were discussing toxoplasmosis, but if you get that whenever you are a kid it will not affect your child. They also said pet cats were dirty but I don't think so. I think felines are one of the cleanest dogs and cats you can have. I think that came from the cats killing the rats and mice. Because rats are extremely dirty pets or animals then because the felines wiped out and ate them they'll also be dusty. A filthy by connection type of thing. Also there have been some big sewer rats operating round throughout the day. Once I noticed a rat and a kitten face off one another and the cat wasn't much bigger than the rat. They were about a ft . apart staring the other person out and the cat ran away. I'm not surprised the rat's pearly whites were bigger that the felines.
Then your nine lives of the humble cat who only wished to help mankind by getting rid of rodents that taken disease took a significant move for the even worse during the dark ages. Where witch hunts and using at the stake were typical. Someone who didn't like cats somehow connected them to witches plus they were burnt at the stake with there owners. How they made that interconnection I'll never know. It began with Pope Gregory IX in the 1232 who deemed the normal house kitten as diabolical. Then to make things worse in1484 along arrived the greatest pet cat killer of all time, Pope Innocent VIII, who decreed something such as all cats originated from hell and really should delivered to the fires of hell by flame. Pet cats were mercilessly prosecuted and were burnt so they would return to the fires of hell. It is amazing any survived because if you were captured with a kitty you were burnt alongside one another. I still go to cathedral and sometimes I just wonder why. And of course the Black Fatality was in the background surviving and growing because there have been no cats to get rid of the rats that transported the fleas that brought on the disease. Then along arrived the cat's savior Ruler Louis XIII of France, who in the 1630s repealed regulations and cats once again began to live. But they were still hated and wiped out for many hundreds of years from then on. I have no idea if the African american Fatality subsided but felines once again covered mankind up against the diseases carried by rodents. As well as the famines brought on by mice plagues.
