Cats and mankind have been residing in harmony for quite some time but that hasn't always been the truth. There were times when pet cats have been nearly wiped out in the name of God. And what occurred the Black Loss of life reigned supreme for a lot longer than it will. So we will get back to the origins of recorded record to enough time of the pharaohs of Egypt. Here felines were revered as Gods and many were mummified to last for eternity. Because the cats guarded the grain warehouses and wiped out the rats and mice that fed on the grain. Therefore reducing famines, that were the curse of Egypt. It was illegal to destroy cats in those times, like cows in India today.
If this frame of mind towards cats dates back generations the other can realize why historians say the Black Death started in China. Where there are rats no cats then the rats dominate and that could have been a precursor for the disease to get near people. Now as i get back to China there are still rats running around but not so many in the cover estates. There are various down by the river. Also they have a very efficient rubbish tidy up system that retains the cities very clean. Where I stay the rubbish is gathered everyday. That would also keep the rat people down. And with so many discarded felines playing around the rats don't have much of an opportunity. I've never seen this but I think the government picks up a great deal of cats. There used to be colonies of stray cats living in some places but now I don't see them any longer.
