Ask any visitor that comes to visit to take care of the puppy around; coming in contact with the paws and sense among the toes; using the ears; presenting restrained hugs; playing with the mouth area and starting the mouth inserting your finger on the puppy's tongue. If at all possible expose your pup to children and train them how to handle the dog properly. Constantly be sure when children and puppies are playing mutually that they are supervised. You don't want the kids to try out too roughly with the dog and you don't want the doggie getting so hyped up by antics of children and becomes uncontrollable.
A whole lot of puppy socialization can occur in the home environment - contact with loud banging noises, such as clanging pans and pots, vacuum cleaners, washing machines, garden mowers, etc.
