Pet cats and mankind have been residing in harmony for many years but that hasn't always been the case. There were times when cats have been practically destroyed in the name of God. And what occurred the Black Loss of life reigned supreme for considerably longer than it should. So we will go back to the beginnings of recorded history to enough time of the pharaohs of Egypt. Here pet cats were revered as Gods and many were mummified to previous for eternity. Because the pet cats guarded the grain warehouses and killed the rats and mice that fed on the grain. Therefore reducing famines, that were the curse of Egypt. It had been illegal to kill cats in those times, like cows in India today.
Cats actually carry a few parasites, a few fleas plus some diseases and a few can change serious however, not many. If felines were causing too much sickness they would not need invaded our lives as well as they have. But you may still find people out there who do not like pet cats. When I first went to China about twenty years ago there were very few pet cats coping with people and very few wild cats. I was amazed because I've had cats all my life and I never thought people didn't like pet cats. But in China the individuals said cats carried disease and this was it. I feel that may have something to do with that cat tired you get in your eyeball. Not serious only a slight problem for a week If you were pregnant you had to keep away from cats. I believe they were discussing toxoplasmosis, but if you get that when you are a youngster it will not affect your child. They also said pet cats were soiled but I don't think so. I think felines are one of the cleanest pets you can have. I think that came from the cats eliminating the rats and mice. Because rats are incredibly dirty animals then because the felines killed and ate them they will also be filthy. A grubby by connection kind of thing. Also there were some big sewer rats working round during the day. Once I found a rat and a kitty face off one another and the kitten wasn't much bigger than the rat. They were about a ft . apart staring the other person out and the cat ran away. I'm not astonished the rat's teeth were bigger that the pet cats.
