Then your nine lives of the humble cat who only wanted to help mankind by killing rodents that taken disease took a significant turn for the worse during the middle ages. Where witch hunts and losing at the stake were typical. Somebody who didn't like pet cats somehow connected those to witches and they were burnt at the stake with there owners. How they made that interconnection I'll never know. It began with Pope Gregory IX in the 1232 who deemed the common house feline as diabolical. Then to make concerns even worse in1484 along came up the greatest kitten killer ever, Pope Innocent VIII, who decreed something along the lines of all cats originated from hell and really should returned to the fires of hell by fire. Cats were mercilessly prosecuted and were burnt so they might go back to the fires of hell. It is amazing any survived because if you were caught with a feline you were burnt mutually. I still go to cathedral and sometimes I simply wonder why. And undoubtedly the Black Fatality was in the backdrop surviving and growing because there have been no cats to wipe out the rats that transported the fleas that induced the disease. Then along arrived the cat's savior Ruler Louis XIII of France, who in the 1630s repealed regulations and cats once again started to live. But they were still hated and killed for many decades after that. I have no idea if the Black color Fatality subsided but felines once again protected mankind against the diseases transported by rodents. And the famines due to mice plagues.
Cats actually hold a few parasites, a few fleas plus some diseases and some can turn serious however, not many. If cats were causing too much sickness they would not need invaded our lives as well as they have. But there are still people out there who do nothing like felines. When I first visited China about twenty years ago there have been very few felines living with people and incredibly few wild pet cats. I was impressed because I've had cats all my life and I never thought people didn't like felines. But in China individuals said cats carried disease and this was it. I think that may have something to do with that cat sick you enter your attention. Not serious only a moderate problem for a week Of course, if you were pregnant you'd to keep away from cats. I believe they were discussing toxoplasmosis, but if you get that whenever you are a kid it should not affect your child. They also said felines were grubby but I don't believe so. I think pet cats are one of the cleanest pets you could have. I feel that came from the cats killing the rats and mice. Because rats are incredibly dirty animals then because the cats killed and ate them they will also be grubby. A dirty by connection kind of thing. Also there have been some big sewer rats working round throughout the day. Once I found a rat and a cat face off each other and the feline wasn't much bigger than the rat. These were about a foot apart staring each other out and the cat ran away. I'm not surprised the rat's teeth were bigger that the felines.
